Patrick Fur Farm News

Patrick Fur Farm is proud to announce, we moved mink onto their new ranch in Fall 2015. This additional breeding stock allows us to increase our production. The state of the art facilities allow us to continue raising black mink of the highest quality in larger numbers. The new ranch has been in progress for 2 years. In 2014, the focus was to get proper drainage on the landscape and the land ready for building. Securing a clean water source for the mink was another major focus. In 2015 building was able to start. Due to the scope of the project many different crews were working simultaneously. There were shed building crews to create the animal housing and shelter. Another crew focused on the cooler unit and maintenance building. We also had concrete crews creating manure pits and a concrete wall to keep a disease free farm. There is still much work to be done in the future but we have the facilities ready to breed the animals on the new ranch in 2016.
